A decidedly anti-Irish feeling is spreading in England in consequence of the cowardly outrages and intimidation systematically practised in Ireland. The Lord Mayor of London has opened a fund for tho assistance of tho Proporty Defenco Association of Ireland. President Arthur has signed a convention establishing the post-office money order sjßtem between the U»ited StatOß and Now Zealand and Now South Wales. A terrible explosion has occurred ia a coal mine belonging to the Cookerill Company, Seraing, Belgium. Sixty-six miners wero killed. Two soldiers, namod Woodhead and Northcote, have been sentenced to death by tho Dublin Criminal Oourt for the murder of bandsman Curragh. At a grand concert given in Berlin, Madame Elmslad (nSe Maggie Menzies, of Melbourne) performed several selections on the pianoforto. A correspondent of the Times speaks of the skill she displayed as highly oreditable to tho musioal talent of Australia.
