o [Br Telkgbaph.] NOMINATIONS. THAMES, Not. 30. The nomination of candidates took place at noon ; only two were nominated, Mr John Sheehan, barrister j and Mr William James Speight, engineer. The show of hands gave 106 for Bheelian, and 128 for Speight. A poll was demanded. There is great excitement and enthusiasm in the Borough. TAURANGA, Nov. 30. The Tauranga candidates nominated to-day, were — Messrs George Vesey Stewart, G. B. Morris, William Kelly and H. T. Sowe. The show of hands was in favour of Mr Stewart. TIMARU, Nov. 30. Messrs T. Turnbull, J. T. Partridge and J. S. Gibson were nominated for the Timaru seat, to-day. The show of hands was in favour of Mr Turnbull. PORT CHALMERS, Nov. 30. Mr James Macandrew was elected without opposition. INVBROARGILL, Nov. 30. The following candidates were nominated for the Awarua Electoral District: — A. Kenross, J. W. Bain, D. Smith, and J.P., Joyoe. The show of hands was in favour of the latter.
