CRICKET.
LANCASTER PARK v. MIDLAND CO. This match, after occupying three Saturdays, resulted finally in a not unexpected draw. The play on the last day was notahle for a fine display of batting on the part of the Midlanders, with whom none of the Lancaster bowlers, except Mr Wilding, were able to do anything. Mr Atack gave a fine display of hitting, which, until he had paEßed 60, was marred by but one chance, and that a hard one. Mr Philpott played steady, and for the most part correct cricket, but Mr Lodge was Bomewhat lucky. The last wicket put on over 40 runs, 23 of whioh were credited to Mr Fuller, who made Borne big hits. Only ten men batted, as Mr Fairhurst was absent through an injury to hie hand.
