A TOUGH YARN.
m> A traveller from India relates the worst pun ever known in that country sinoo the arrival of the English. It was commencement day at onoe of the sohooh, and the girls wore out. on the playground amusing themselves before they ehould be called. Presently a hungry tiger that had wandered away from the Jungles bounced in among them, carrying off the loveliest and plumpest of them all. As soon as the horrible occurrence became known the Principal sallied out at the head of a determined company of armed men. They soon oame upon the tiger. No girl was visible, but tho animal was licking hiß ohops and wore a look of contentment not to be mistaken. The Prinoipal advanoing, cried out: "'Atrocious marauder, where is my sweet girl grad-you-ato ?" The effect was startling. The tiger trembled, sank in his tracks, and in a few minutes had breathed bis last.
