The following are tbo totals of each vote : Olass I— Legislative, £3648. Class 2 — Colonial Seoretary, expenses general eleotion, £3000 ; Statistics Department (including £1290 additional in oonneotion with last ceLsus), £11,200; Lunatio Asylums, £1635 ; printing and stationery, £1000 ; compensation to offioers for loss of office, £1000 ; miscellaneous, £2359. Cla?s 3— Colonial Treasurer: Proporty Tax Department, £1754 ; miscellaneous, £672. Olass 4 — Minister for Justice : Courts and prisons, £859. Class s— Postal and telegraph, £1103. Olasß 6— Commissioner of Customs : Marine and harbours (inoluding £500 in aid of Sailors' Home), £1132. Olasß B— Minister for Education, £9000 (including £500 for purchaso of sohool recreation grounds). Olass 9 — Minister for Native Affairs (in-cl-din^ £3000 for establishment of sanitorium at. Ohinemutu, and £2000 for vaooination of Natives), £8000. Clnss 10— Minister for Mines (inoluding £3000 assistance for purchase of diamonddnlU), £5538. Class 11— Minister for Public Works, £1600. Class 12— Minister for Defenco (including contingent defence), £1500 ; liabilities of Volunteer Riflo Association, £500 ; amount required t o cover the difference between tbo pay voted last session and the rales on th present estimates for non-commissioned officers and constables, viz., 6d per day for 6 months ended Sept. 30, 1681, £1935; police, £3104; and s.s.
