AUCKLAND, Dec. 7. Seriously Injured. This morning the daughter of Mr Alfred Sackland was being driven from hia house when the horse bolted, tho carriage was overturned, and Mies Buckland received a kick on the faca from the horae She is seriously injured. Her father left Auckland this morning, by steamer, for Kuipara. Run them in. The Government have approved tho regulations prepared by the City School Committee, for the employment of police in enforcing the compulsory clauses of the Education Act. Thanks to all. His Excellency the Governor, replying to to the city address, expresses hia strong sense of the trouble taken, and the exertion made on the occasion of his reception, and convoys his personal acknowledgments bath of thoss efforts and of the cordial rosponse which they obtained from the inhabitants of the district. Emulation gone out. The Carbine firing attracted very few competitors. DUNEDIN, Dec. 7. Appointment. The Board ot Governors of the High school have offered the post of German Master of tho High school to Doctor Bolau, of Obristchurch, at a salary of £300.
