Opposite the stand the five horßes were in a cluster, but in coming into the straight Eandwick went to the front hard held, Tera lay second, and Emerald third. These positions were maintained until opposite the stand, when Adamant went to the front and won a good race. Bandwick was close up, and Tera waa third. This was a very exciting race. It was the opinion of many that had Bandwick been ridden as ne should have been he would have won the race. The trotting race was won by Nellie, and the Hack Selling Race by Sultan.
