TIMART7, Oct. 13. The State's Bringing Up. A girl named Greaves or Green, aged 17, was charged today with the larceny of £4 belonging to a widow lady in Timaru. The accused, who was formerly an inmate of Christchurch Orphanage, and represented herself as a governess, repaid the widow's hospitality by stealing the money during her absence and decamping to Dunedin. As the girl refused to plead, she was remanded till Saturday.
