Mails olose at the Chief Post Office for the following places (subject to tho necessary alterations) as under : —
Thursday, Oct. 14,
For Ota£o and Australian Colonies, per Express (to connect with s.s. Ho'orua, at Bluff), at 7 am. ; late fee letters may be posted in the travelling post office -van attached to the express train. For Akaroa and Otago, per Hawea, at 11 15 a in.; late fee letters, at 11.30 a.m. ; guard's van, 12 noon train.
For Northern ports and Australian Colonies, per Te Anau, at 3.20 p in. ; late lee letters, at 3.30 p.m. ; guard'B van, 4.5 p m. train. For Fiji, to counect with s.s. Southern Cross at Auckland, per Te Anau, at 3.20 p.m.; late fee letters, at 330 p.m. ; guard's van, 4.5 p.m. train.
Wednesday, Oct. 20.
For the United Kingdom, via Briudiai (for speoially addressed correspondence only), Continent of Europe, Point de Gallo, India, the East, Aden, Mauritius, Natal, Cape of Good Hope, Suez, tha Mediterranean ports, Außtralian Colonies, &0., per Express train to connect with s.s. Arawata, at the Bluff, as follows: -Ordinary letters at 7 a.m., books and newspapers at 6 a.m. j registered letters at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 19; money orders at 4 p.m. on Tucday, Oct. 19; late fee letters may be posted in tho travelling post office van, attached to the express train, on Wednesday, Oct. 20. this Mail will bo due in London on Dec. 9. Note.— The Brindisi letter rate of postage for the United Kingdom ia 8d per half-ounce.
Thursday, Oct. 21,
For Chatham Islands, per Rotomohana, to connect with Omaha at Auckland.
The mail for the United Kingdom, ftc-, via San Franoisco will close on Nov. 6 next. This mail will be due in London on Dec. 22.
