QUEENSLAND. A naturalist named Albsrfc Rose, who has

Mr Harris, a merchant, has been knocked down by Tavares, the actor, who wa3 fined Is. The Rev — Chalmers und Mr Beawick have sent details of the murder of seven Chinese by the New Guinea Natives. The Chinese were fishing for becae-de-mer, and the Natives were dissatisfied with the pay of the Chinese, who habitually thrashed their women. They were warned hy the nativo teaqhers. The Natives attacked them in great nnmbers, and stormed and captured their junk. Some Chinese escaped in boats.
