bers present, Mr Dilnot Sla Iden in the chair. —The Clerk's report was read aud considered, and it was resolved to put in a culvert on Bush road, at Greenwood's, to clear the Eyro of timber near Mr Gorton's, to put in a ford on the Gorman road, near the swamp, and improve one at the creek on the fl^t ; to cut a ditch on Naldor's road to protect the embankment ; to put in a stone ford on Ashley gorge road, and on Ashworth's and Rainey's road to put the water now flowing down the side of Ashworth's roud into its proper course ; to call for fresh tenders for forming road through the Ram paddock, as Mr Corboy had not commenced the work, and the lime for tho completion of the contract had expired.— The following persons waited oh tho Board :— Mr Cooper, asking to have flax cut out of the Wash pen cre^k ns the Board had cleared the crt-ek above, and that brought the water down quickly and fl oded his land. Tho work was sanctioned. — Messrs Pearson and Gorton, asking for a grant in aid of the Domain Board to make some improvements to the domain. They were informed that if the Board had power the grant would be made.— Messrs Marsh and Comyns, about storm water, and asking to have a ditch cleared. The work was sanctioned. The creek, which has been diverted in Mr James Fisher'B land, to be turned into its proper course, and not allowed to How on to the main road. — Mr Rainey, aboufc cloeing the road. The matter was allowed to stand over. — Mr Pearson, asking to have the road to Burnt hill formed and shingled. He was informed that the Board had been recommended not to' form this road, as a better road could be made without any formation. It was decided to shingle part of the road.— Mr Gorton asked the Board to allow him to put in a ford to carry water across for tho purpose of irrigation. Granted. — Also to have a cutting made to get on to the road near Ingram and White's mill. The Clerk to report.— The following correspondence was read :— From Mr Chevy, as to erecting a slab to post bills on. The Clerk was instructed to inform him that the Board had no power to grant the request. — From Mr Gorland, about water on the Tram road, and indicating that the direction of the water was through Mr Jeff's land, at the place pointed out to the Clerk, and requesting the Board to put in the fords. The fords to be put in and the water put into its proper course. — From Mr Gre.'uon re survey of R.S. 201. The Clerk was directed to instruct Mr Davis to make a fresh survey, also stating that the Maoris had accepted the Board's offer of £8 per acre for the land required on R.S. 18776, on condition that the Board would pay the sum of £10 per acre for other land taken by the Board. It was decided to have the land taken, surveyed, and paid for as requested.— After the transaction of some other business, accounts to tho amount of £271 12s 3d were passed, and tho Boerd adjourned.
