Disobeying an Obdeb of the Coitbt. — William Patience was charged with disobeying an order of the Besident, Magistrate^ Court afc InvercargiU, to provido for the support of his illegitimate child. Inspector O'Dounell asked for a remand, as fche warrant had nofc yet arrived, and alao to give the accueed a chance of paying the arrears. Prisoner also asked for a day or fcwo to enable him to make arrangements. Bemanded to Septembers. Larceny. — Robert Reuben was charged with stealing a carpet bag, containing clothing and £2 in money, tho property of Jamoj Rush. Inspector O'Donnell stated that part of the property had been found in priaonor's possession, and thafc ho had disposed of part. Tho offenoe had beon committed ie Lyttelton. The prisoner wa3 remanded, to appu nr at the 1 Pourt, at LytteHoii, to-morrow.
