[Retjter's Telegrams.] Another Trouble. LONDON, Dec. 24. A difficulty has arisen, between England and Turkey in consequence of the arrest of a priest for translating the English Bible into the Turkish language. The British Ambassador has has made strong representations unsuccessfully. Sir A. H. Layard threatens the rupture of the amicable relations subsisting unless the priest is immediately released. CALCUTTA, Dec 28. There is no later news from the front. The news of the arrival of Gough at Cabul ia entirely unconfirmed. [Age Special.] LONDON, Dec. 27. The Afghan Insurrection. The latest news from Afghanistan, states that Jevad is arousing the wildest fanaticism. Colonel Tyler and other officers at Candahar are wounded. The fanatics ran amuck at them last Tuesday. The Afghans have attacked General Roberts, but the British routed the enemy -with great slaughter before General Gough arrived. Suez Mail Time Table. The Imperial Government adhered to the Suez mail time table as already fixed. i : :
