CHRISTMAS SERVICES.

» ST. MICHAEL'S. At the pro-Cathedral Church of St Michael's and All Angels, the decorations were of a very chaste character. At the altar, wns a largo cross of various white flowers, and on either side were vases filled with choice blooms. Along the choir stalls were placed lines of foliage and richly coloured flowers. The principal texts used were " Glory to the New Born King," and " Unto us a child is born, unto us a Son is given." The pillars were wreathed with evergreens and flowers, very neatly worked. At eight o'clock in the morning there was choral celebration of the holy communion, the usual morning and evening services being also held. Each service was full choral ; the anthem used wbb " Sing, oh ye Heavens." The incumbent, the Hey E. GL Penny, was tho preacher.
