FIAT LUX.
Sib, — I wish to call the attention of the City Council, through your valuable columns, to the urgent neceßßity there is for the erection of a lamp at the junction of Manchester and Martin street, in front of Messrs G. B. Nelson and Co.'s drapery establishment. My reasons for pressing this want on the attention of the Council is, the darknesß in which this locality is generally enveloped on a wet night, not mentioning the danger to travellers and vehicles to and from the railway station. — I am, &c,
TO THB BDITOB OF THB STAB,
RATEPAYER.
