I The match between the Kaiapoi and AyonJ side Cricket Clubs came off at Kaiapoi on I Saturday, and resulted in an easy victory for

the former Club by 33 runs. The scores were: Kaiapoi, first innings, 63 ; second innings, 65; total, 128. Avonside, first, 22 • Becohd, 78 ; total, 95. The bowling of Messrs Merrin and Bernaya for the Kaiapoi team, and of Mr Bucket for the Avon&ide was remarkably good. The batting of Messrs Wright, Thorne, and Merrin for the home team, and of Mr Lamb for the viaifcore, was very much above the average.

A match was played on Saturday between the St. Albans O.C. and the Bohemian CO., and resulted in a victory for the former by one innings and 20 runs. For St. Albans 0.0. the score in the first innings was 52 ; for the -Bohemian O.C. the scores were — First innings, 15 ; second innings, 17. For the former Stapleton batted well, running up a score of 32. - - . .■
