Uct. 2, 1879. 22. "It was decided to reoommend the Committee to inquire into the subject" of hospital fare, about which letters had appeared in the Star some two months previously. The dates given atyve are not tbe dates on which the meetings have been held, but the dateß of the issues of this journal in which the reports from which extracts have been made, appeared in oar columns. We here submit the salient points of evidence upon which we have consistently, and, we might add, persistently, proceeded in our exposition of the narrow-minded jealousy, the doubts of their true position, and the manner in which this wretchedly incompetent Board have sought to establish it by riding rougb-shod over the members of the staff. These extracts speak conclusively for themselves, and amply justify the position" the Star has taken from the first. They are infinitely more weighty than the valueless, because unsupported, assertions of the Board. We Bball take an early opportunity to place before the public the full force of this body of evidence side by side with the disingenuous evasions and erroneous assertions of the Board.
