CRIMINAL CHRISTCHURCH.
The following table shows the various offences which have been reported at the. Christchurch Police dep&t during the quarter ending Sept. 30, and the increase or decrease as compared with the previous quarter : —
From th^e'foro"R<)rn^ii^"'will,be seen that, arising out of the 452 cases reported, 383 arrests wereinade. Of these, 8 males, and 1 female were committed for trial ; 260 males and 82 females were bummorily convicted, and 31 males and 1 femalo were discharged. It will further be noticed that the " increases" during tho quarter are most prominent.
