MAIL NOTICES.
Mails close nt the Umef Post Office for the following places (subject to the neceasary alterations) as under :— Saturday, Oct. 11. For Otago, per Wakatipu, at 1.50 p.m. : late fee letters, 2,10 p.m. ; guard's van, 2.40 p.m. train. For United Kingdom, Continent of Europe, and America, via San Francisco, Sandwich Islands, aud Northern Porta of New Zealand, per Hawea, as followa :— Ordinary letters, 5 p.m. ; late fee letters, 5.30 p.m. Kegistered letters, 4 p.m. Books and nowapapers, 4 p.m. Money ordors, 3 p.m. Lato letters at railway by special train, 6.30 p.m. This mail will be due in London on Nov. 25. Tho Post-o ilice hitherto known as Bealey's Road will in futnro be called " Lovat." The Post-Oißce hitherto known as Horndon Junction will in future bo called " Darfleld."
