WE DREAM OF A GLORIOU3 FOTORE. We droam of a glorious future Of the oitioa which, then Bhn.ll stand Iv the depths of the pri moral forest And along by onr glistening strand. But our dream has n. richer meaning Than is soon in the poofs lay, As wo pazo at tho bold hero koeping His bitter assailants at bay. For that fnt»ro we toil and wo battle ; For the lisping- wee babes of to-day; For the men who shall rule when the willows Wave mournfully over our clay. W« bittle and toil for the f nture ; For the thousands on land and on sea, Who shall cherish the Rift we bequeath them In tho bright, happy times yot to bo. We crave not the gold of ihe wealthy. Wo envy no squatter his "run," Eut we loaye to our children tho duty Of guarding what we shall have won. In the dawn of onr national greatness, With tho flow of onr national tide, Wo will place all our hopes of the future In the hands of cur veteran guide. We dream of a glorions future, But our hopes aud our patience may tire If we wait as onr would-bq cathedral Now waits for its roof and its spire. Then let as bo true to our purposo, Ana nevor our causo botrav, For tho hearts that are 'oyal to froedom Must also prove 103 al to Grey. Cornubia.
