[special.] Auoust 26. Archbishop Steins has not arrived. Sir Arthur Gordon landed at Samoa, and was received by H.M.S. Cormorant. Dr Cox, American Commissioner at tho Sydney Exhibition, is a passenger. Miss Fialer's introductory lecture was attended by 500 ladies. Mr Lamb's Ngaruawabia flour mill has boen burned down. The origin of the fire is not known. The insurance amounts to £2100 in the New Zealand, but £1500 are re-insured.
