A serious accident occurred at the coal pit Heathcoip mine, Brunnerton, by whiijh a young man named J. Parkins waß dangerously injured. A shot bad been fired the previous evening, displacing a large block of coal, leaving some of it overhanging. Parkins and another endeavoured to removo it, when it fell upon Parkins, burying him. When he was released, it was found that be had sustained a compound fracture oj the leg, and severe internal injuries. Two claims struck payable gold yesterday at tho new rush at Wwtbrook.
