A serious accident occurred at the coal pit Heathcoip mine, Brunnerton, by whiijh a young man named J. Parkins waß dangerously injured. A shot bad been fired the previous evening, displacing a large block of coal, leaving some of it overhanging. Parkins and another endeavoured to removo it, when it fell upon Parkins, burying him.
