SYDENHAM BOROUGH COUNCIL.

».. A special meeting of the above Oounoil was held at noon to-day, at the offices of Mr G. Booth, Tuam street, for tho purpose of adopting a resolution passed at a recent meeting of tho Council for the making of a by-law. There wero present — His Worship the Mayor, Councillors Brown, Charters, Andrew, and Pavitt. Councillor Brown moved the following resolution : — "That tho .Council mako a byaw providing for tho construction and maintenance of privies and cesspools within he Borough, and for the inspection thereof ; ur regulating the emptying, cleansing, and cecping in repair and good order al' privies, lesspools, and house, slaughterhouse, and irowery and bakery drains, the periodical Jemovalof all night-soil, dung, aßncs. filth, and rubbish of all kinds ; also to provide for or prohibit and regulate the keeping of swino within tho Borough, or within certain limits therein." The resolution was seconded by Councillor Charters and agreed to. This concluded the business.
