Mails close at the Chief Post Office for tho followmg places as under, subject to tho necessary alterations :— Friday, April 18. For Northern Ports, per Wanganui, at 1.50 p.m. ; late fee letters, 2.10 p.ui.; guard' 3 van, 2.40 p.m. train. Snturday, April 19, For Alcaroa, per Wauuka. For Northern Porta, per Ladybird, at (".30 p.m. ; late luttor box, guard's vau, must not be used for this mail. Monday, April 21. For Otago and Australian Colonies, p.-r Albion, at 1.50 p.m.; lato fee letters, 2.10 p.m.; guard's van, 2.40 p.m. trnin. Tuesday, April 22. For Australian Colonies, per express train to Port Chalmers, at 7.30 a.m. Thursday, April 2 1. For Northern Porta of New Zealand aud Australian Colonies, per Kotorua. Tho next mnil for the United Kingdom via San Francisco will bo closed at Christchnrch on April 25, and will bo due in London on June 10. Tho next mails for the United Kingdom, via Brindisi and Southampton, will be closed at Christchurch on May 5. Tho mail via Brindisi will be due in London on June 30, and tho mail via Southampton on Jnly 7.
