LBPECIAL.J e Jan. 8. / The Courtneys' township of Vogeltown, of 50 acres, about 10 minutes' walk from town, sold to-day, in quarter-acre allotments, some as high as £45. The whole property was purchased for £750 about two months ago. (To-days sale of 33i acres realised £1760. A meeting is called to establish a Temperance Alliance. The electric light was exhibited in town hist night. A number of friends to-day presented the Rev Mr Isitt, a Wesleyan minister, with a purse of sovereigns on his departure for the hot eprings.
