Feiday, Jan. 3. <Bofore W. Donald, Esq., H. R. Wobb, Esq., and H. AUwright, Esq., J.P.'s.) Absent Without Leave. — R. Crosbie, belonging to fche brig Raymond, was charged with tbis offence. The charge nofc being £ressed, tiioyßu_h ordered accused on board is ship!: W^ *.Af>&AXtJjT.— lJaifles Tregear and Thomas Dyer were charged by Thomas Radcliffe with having assaulted liim on the evening of Dec. 24. The assault complained of was alleged to have taken place in the house occupied by complainant and defendants. Mr M'Connell appeared for fche complainant, and Mr Izard for fche defendants. Complainant stated that both defendants, on the evening in question, assaulted him. Defendants stated in defence that accused commenced the assault, and used Tory abusive and threatening language towards them; he was also drunk at the time. Several witnesses having been examined, the Bench dismissed the case.
