New Plymouth, July 19. An earthquake of a violent nature, lasting several seconds, ooourred here this morning at 4.12. Tho Henui furnaoo has boen cleared, and the men paid ofl. Patha, July 19. A severe shook of earthquake was folt horo this morning about 4.80; it lasted ono minute. WhiiMNOtok, July 19. Tho severest shook of earthquake felt for many yoars ooourred hero at 4.20 this morn* ing. It wob preoeded and aooompaniod by a loud rumbling. It is understood that tho representative of tho Paoiflo Mail Company wont to Sydney by last mail steamer, to seouro the abandonment of the New Zealand ooastal servioo, and in tho ovont of suoh concession not boing mado, thore is a probability of tho termination of the servioo, the risks of entering tho New Zealand ports and frequent grounding of tho steamers being considered too great to ran. Maetok, July 19. The heaviest shook of earthquake ooourred at 4.20 this morning that has beon experienced for years. It was aooompaniod with a load rumbling. Westpoet, July 19.
