Mr Secretary Fish has tendered hia resignation, and will relinquish his post in March next. . Archbishop Folding and clergy transmitted to tho Pope a telegram, to which the following reply, dated Nov. 8, was received : — The Supreme Pontiff' receives with great pleasure the congratulations of the Archbishop with the assembled clergy most willingly, and trausmitß through the Bwiffc elee trie current tho benediction asked for.
Nob Reuter's, but another telegram received here (Sydney) yesterday says — Boston, Sunday, Nov. 10. A most disastrous fire broke out this morning. Tho whole of the buildings from the Commercial to the centre streets were destroyed. Other buildings were blown up to stay tin progress of the flames. The damage already done amounts to two hundred millions of dollare, and the fire ia still progressing.
