Mr Wilson, proprietor of the Herald empowers the agent; of the Press Association fco contradict the Herald's paragraph against the Association, and the Post's remarks thereon. He says .that he is perfectly satisfied with fche thorough impartiality of the Association's telegrams. The paragraph had been written by a member of the staff opposed to the Asso* ciation, and without Mr Wilson's sanction or approval. Tho Caledonian has declared a dividend of 40s.
