Mails close at the chief office as under : — For the.Northern provinces of New Zealand, per the s.s. Taranaki, on Saturday, Nov. 18, at 1.30 p.m. For the United Kingdom, Continent of Europe, Asia, Africa, America, the West Indies (via San Francisco), also the Sandwich Islands, per the s.s. Phoebe (for transhipment to p.s. Nebraska at Auckland), on Saturday, Nov. 25, at 1 p.m. Newspapers at 12 noon. Money orders and registered letters at 10.30 a.m. For the Northern provinces of New Zealand, per the s.s. Phcebe on Saturday, Nov. 25, at 1.30 p.m. Late letters for all the above places will he received till 2 p.m.; such letters must bear a single rate above the full postage.
