The following advertisement appeared in an American paper:—" To-day, about one o'clock in the afternoon, my dear wife, Catherine, born at Elberling, was happily confined of two girls and a boy. Barely two months ago she had twins, making five children in one year." A reporter for one of the New York daily papers, in speaking of a young lady lecturer, says: — " Her floating skirts of whiteness and lightness, her tiny pinched waist, ber pretty little white kidded feet, her pink roses, her baby ends, and her fizzles were not unpleasant to the eye,"
