Toomey, arrived in harbour this morning •from Havelock. She left that port on Saturday ; passed through the Straits the same night, but was becalmed until Monday morning ; thence had fair winds. She brings a oargo of timber, consigned to Mr C. W. Turner, Christchurch. The s s. Maori, Captain Malcolm, arrived in harbour this morning at 10 o'clock, from Dunedin, via intermediate ports. She left .Port Chalmers at 8 p.m. ou Sunday night, *3d arrived at Timaru at 5 a.m , on Monday ; 3ff. again at 6 p.m., arriving at Akaroa at 3.50 this morning j left again at 5.15, arriving as above ; experienced fine weather daring the first part of the voyage until reaching Timaru ; thence strong N.W. winds. We are indebted to Captain Malcolm for late dated papers. The Maori sails on her return Srip to-morrow.
