«. CRIMINAL SITTINGS. The quarterly sittings of the Supreme Court will commence before Mr Justice , Gresson, on Monday next, at 11 o'clock. The following is a list of the cases for trial up to the present date : — Regina v. John Whineop — Larceny. Regina v. Mathew M a wha— Perjury. Regina v. John Welsh — Perjury. Regina v. Edward Smith and Charles Henry Ogilvie Robertson — Larceny. Kegina v. Ellen Young — Obtaining money by false pretences. Regina v. James Bubli, alias Eldridge — Forgery and uttering. Regina v. John Edward Taylor, alias Thompson — Forgery and uttering. Kegina v. Franz Auguste Hetsou, alias Abrahamson — Stealing a mare. Regina v. Franz Auguste Hetson, alias Abrahamson — Stealing a saddle and bridle. Regina v. John William Freeman — Larceny. Regina v. Edwin Bennett — Assault with intent to do bodily harm. Regina v. James Johnston — Obtaining goods by false pretences.
An injured husband in Dayton, Ohio, caught his wife just on the point of eloping with a handsome man. He took a terrible vengeance by locking up all her good clothes and then telling her to go. A fashionable lady's maid, who endeavours to rival her mistress in the style of her gar ments, wrote an order to the perfumer the other day, and requested him to forward o case of " 0 Dick Alone ! "
