♦ CHRISTCHURCH. This Dat. (Before C. C. Bowen, Esq., R.M.) Drunkenness — George Tarit admitted having been drunk and disorderly at Tattersall's yesterday, but expressing his contrition, and being his first offence, he was dismissed with a caution. — Herman Mahnke appeared to answer a charge of having been drunk and incapable yesterday. He again displayed unmiatakeable signs of intoxication when he appeared in court, and, after receiving a severe reprimand, was ordered to be looked up until he became sober. Ltjnact. — Thomas Letherty and Hugh Allen, 'being proved, on the certificates of Dre. Frankish and Frins, to be of unsound mind, were committed to the Lunatic Asylum.
