The Duke of Edinburgh, barque, Capt. Smith, arrived in harbour, and anchored this morning at 1 a.m. She left Newcastle on ;the 29th ult.; made the land south of Cape Farewell on Sunday morning last ; on that day experienced heavy N.E. gale ; came through the Straits on Monday night; had strong westerly gales; since then had light winds and fine weather until arrival." She brings a cargo of coals, consigned to Montgomery and Co.
