Tub schooner Kaiuma, Captain Maule, cleared the Customs yesterday for Hokitika with a full cargo of produce, shipped by Messrs Wood and Cunningham. . The s.s. Taranaki, Capt Wheeler, arrived in harbour tbis morning, at 7.30, from Wellington. She left that port at 1.30 p.m. yesterday; experienced light westerly winds and fine weather. The b.s. Maori, Captain Malcolm, arrived in harbour this morning, at 11.30, from Dunedin, via intermediate ports. She left Port Chalmers at 10 p.m. on Aug. 4, and arrived at Oamaru at 3 a.m. on Aug. 5; landed passengers and cargo, and sailed at 10 a.m.; arrived at Timaru at 2.30 p.m. same ;day, but, owing to the heavy sea running, was unable to land passengers until Saturday <morning; the cargo boats were unable to take the cargo, uutil Monday; sailed from Timaru at 7.30 p.m. on Aug. 8; arrived in Akaroa at 5 this morning; sailed again at 7, and arrived as above.
