The brig Union sailed this morning for Guam. The ship Caduceus sailed for London this morning with a fair wind, The schooner Isabella, timber-laden, for Kaiapoi, let Hokitika on June 29. The ss. Rangitoto sailed for Melbourne via Wellington, on Saturday evening. The ship Lindsay got under weigh yesterday morning, and was soon clear of the land. The ship Celestial Queen will clear the Customs to-day for London. The schooner Bee arrived in harbour on Saturday, from Amuri, Bluff, with a cargo of limestone. The ship Jessie Readaian tripped her anchor yesterday morning, and having a fine wind, was well clear of the land by the afternoon. She took a large cargo. The brig Rita, Capt. Edwards, arrived in harbour yesterday afternoon, from Newcastle, having left that port on the 22nd ult. The brig brings a cargo of coal. The barque Southern Cross, Capt. Johnson, arrived in harbour on Saturday afternoon, from Newcastle, having left that port on June 17 ; made the land on Wednesday last, and came through the Straits the same night ; since then, had fine S.W. winds. The barque brings a cargo of coals. The s.s. Phoebe, Captain Worsp, arrived in harbour on Saturday morning, at 8.30, having left Port Chalmers at 1.35 p.m., on Friday, and experienced fine weather on the passage. The Phoebe Bailed for Wellington with the San Francisco mail on Saturday night. The barque John Knox, Captain Jenkins, arrived in harbour on Saturday afternoon, from Sydney, having left that port on the 22nd June ; experienced very bad weather until tnakipg Cape Farewell, which was passed on the 7th day out. Saw the Cape Farewell Light 20 mites off very clearly ; winds prevailed from the southward ; came through Cook Straits on Thursday ; thence had fine south west by west winds, until making Lyttelton Heads and anchoring as above. The John Knox has a large cargo, and will load for Sydney, a great portion of her cargo being engaged. We are indebted to Captain Jenkins for Jate files. The e.s. Gothenburg, Capt. McLean, commander, cleared Port Phillip Heads at 5.30 p.m. on the 18th June ; passed Kent's Group at 1 1 p.m. the following day, and experienced light westerly windß during the first three days ; then had strong east and N.E. gales, with very heavy sea running. Sighted the land at 10 p.m. on the 24th, and hove-to until 10 a.m. on the 25th, owing to very dense, thick weather ; proceeded again, but the current being so strong to the southward, was unable to reach the roadstead until 7 p.m. ; discharged cargo and sailed for Nelson at 4 p.m. on the 28th, arriving at 8 p.m. on th«. 29th. Left at 10 p.m. on the 30th, and arrived at Wellington at 11 a.m. on the Ist July. Sailed for Lyltelton at 5.30 p.m., and arrived at 12.50 on the 2nd. The Gothenburg sailed for Dunedin on Saturday night. ■
