Wellington, May 13, 6.50 p m. Tricker has not received a free! pardon ; his sentence was commuted to imprisonment to the date at which he was released. He left immediately after his discharge for Wanganui, where his wife and family reside. The steamer. Beautiful Star struck on a snag on coming out of Wanganui. Her cargo, which was seriously damaged, was taken out and landed by the John Perm. The Phoebe has been detained till to-morrow, and will then try to catch the Tararua at Otago with the Northern Suez mail. Atjcedaitd, May 12. A dinner by the Northern Club to Mr Yogel, on May 10, was successful. Five rebels have been Bb.pt and one captured near Waikaremoana. ■ ■ The Lord Ashley, with the San Francisco mails, leaves for the South today. There are no English letters.
