! CHRISTCHURCH. * This Dat. (Before A. Back and J. T. Brown, Esqs.) Drunkenness. — Patrick: Kennedy was charged with having been drunk and riotous at the Mechanics' Hotel yesterday. The evidence was not, however, sufficient to. warrant a committal, and he was dismissed with a caution. . Yagbancv.— Mary Ann Robinson was brought up under the new Vagrant Act, charged with unseemly conduct in a public thoroughfare. The case being proved, she was sentenced to three months' imprisonment, with hard labour. Labcent of a Saddle.— Charles Turner, in custody, was charged with having stolen a saddle, the' property of Mr F. Innes, but the police not being prepared to go fully into the case, he was remanded until Thursday. The Bench offered to accept bail for prisoner's appearance, of himself in £50, and two othera of £25 each.
