MAIL NOTICES.

Mails will close at the chief post-office, Christchurch as under : — For United Kingdom, Continent of Europe, America, aud the West Indies, on Monday, 28th instant, at 1.15 p.m. For money orders at 10.30 a.m.; for registration of letters, at 11 a.m.; for newspapers, at 12 noon. Late letters for the above places may be posted till 2 p.m. Such letters must bear the usual late fee in postage stamps. : An officer of the New Zealand Postal Department will proceed to New York in charge of the mails.
