Tun s.s. Wellington, Capt. Holmes, sailed for Dunedin at 4 5 p.m. yesterday. Tub s.s. Ahuriri sailed for Wellington yesterday evening shortly after 6 o'clock. Tm_ barque Mystery, Capt. M'Kenzie sailed for Valparaiso last ni.uht iv ballast. The barque Joliba arrived in. harbour on Sunday evening from Newcastle, N.S.W., with coal. Thb s.s. Gothenburg, Capt. M'Lean, sailed yesterday at 4.15 p.m. for Melbourne via Dunedin and the Bluff. The three - masted schooner Amateur, Capt. Hughes, arrived in harbour yesterday morning early from Newcastle, N.S.W. The schooner Defiance, Capt. Hill, arrived in harbour this morning, at eleven o'clock, from Dunedin. She left Port Chalmers on tlie sth inst., and experienced strong S.W. winds to Oamaru; thence strong N.E. and northerly gales until arrival. Tub fine schooner Cleopatra, C. Ifwersen, arrived in harbour yesterday at 4.30 a.m. from Havelock, having left that port on Saturday ru.rning, aud experienced fair winds during the passage. The Cleopatra brings*a cargo of timber consigned to Messrs Brownell and Co., Christchurch.
