Nelsox, Feb. 6, 5.30 p.m. Sixty pouuds of stone, taken promiscuously from a reef near the Prospectors' at Wangapeka, crushed here, yielded 5 oz 9 dwts 17 grains per ton, of two thousand pounds. The stone doea not show gold to the naked eye. The reef is eight feet wide. The continued dry weather is destroying the cattle feed in the country districts.
