Mr W. 11. Ilarr^roavcK roports that at a sale of 3V.V Zealand flax, held at Mr G. Booth's Warehouse, St Asaph street, on Monday, there was a fair attendance of the principal merchants and others interested in the production of flax The biddings were, with Olio or tyro exceptions, languid, buyers seem- j ing uncertain, or disinclined to operate freely. The prices obtained may, however, be considered a fair test of the market, and I am inclined to believe that producers, by paying C2rr>fu! attention to dressing, but more particnlarly to uniformity of quality, whether fair, medium, or good, will establish an equally regular market for their flax here, without the risk of shipment. Prices B M fiCutrhed, in bulk, £21 10s; ditto, unscutched, £\8 10a ; J. and Co, scutched, in bales £27 Ids (not sold) ; ditto, scutched, in bulk, medium quality, £21 ; 8.C., scutched, in bulk,
£25 ; T. B, hackled, in bales, £>6 10s (not sold) T. T. 8., unscutched, in bales, £23 10s; lot of iuferior, unscutched, in bulk, £12 10s. The next sale will be held on Monday, February 7.
