LYTTELTON REGATTA, 1870.

There heing no further business, his Worship declared the meeting at an end. A meeting of the Regatta Committee was held afterwards. Messrs D. Mills, W. Cameron, and Captain Woods were elected members of the committee. The subscrip tions in aid of the Kegatta were stated to amount to over £100. It was also announced that Messrs Pe'ersen and Co had given a silver cup. With rpppct to Captain

Rose's cup, he has decided that it shall be a challenge cup, and that it shall be rowed for j first at the Regatta on New Year's Day, and next year either at Lyttelton, Chris tchurch, or Kaiapoi, as it may be decided.
