Borthwick. Third Class. — General proficiency: Ist, J. A. Brown; 2nd, H. Hewstone. Fourth Class. — Reading, Spelling, and Tables: M. A. Borthwick. Arithmetic: E. England. " given by school committee. First Class. — Good conduct : Ist, A. Atkinson ; 2nd, A. Hester. Second Class.— Heading and Spelling : E. Barton. Arithmetic and Writing: Ist, W. Wishart ; 2nd, J. The examination was very creditable to them, and reflected great credit on the master. The Rev. A. Reid returned thanks for the prizes presented by the Borough Council to the school.
