Mails for Wellington will close at 1.45 p.m. on Thursday, 23rd inst. Mails will close at the Chief Post-office on Friday, Dec. 24, for the undermentioned places : — United Kingdom, via Suez and Marseilles, Northern Provinces of New Zealand, the Continents of Europe, Asia, Africa, and America, and the Australian Colonies, at 8 p.m. Newspapers at 6 p.m. Money orders and registered letters at 4 p.m. Late letters for all the above places can be posted until 9 a.m. ou Saturday, Dec. 25, ■ by theattachmentof an extra sixpenny stamp '. in addition to the full rate of postage.
