"WELT,nsrGTO?r, Dec. 7, 7.15 p.m. The whole of the Constabulary in Depot here have been ordered to Napier to assist in convoy duty to Taupo. Fires which are supposed to be those of Uriweras going to join Kooti, have been seen near Waikaremoana. Mr Bullen and about 50 men go to-morrow morning. Mr Yogel has written to the Governor, stating that he had seen a copy of the dispatch, ordering the immediate removal of the 18th Regiment. The orders are peremptory, and admit of no delay.
