BARNARD'S FARM, LINCOLN ROAD. mHE imported Norfolk Trotting Stallion SHALES. SHALES was bred by John Thurlow Twaites, Esq., of Carleton Forehoe, Wymondham, Norfolk. His sire, Shales, the property of the late W. Wright, Esq., Fring; his dam, a superior mare called Beauty, bred and hunted by the Rev. Minus, by Cannell's Old Lord of the Manor. Gr. sire, that celebrated horse Mr Powell's Black Shales, dam by Emilius. G. gr. sire, Cbadd's Shales, bred by the late Captain Ogden, of Watlingtou, from hisnotee trotting mare. G. g. gr. sire, Old Marshland Shales, tbe champion of all trotters. SHALES is a rich bay, with black points, four years old, stands sixteen hands high, with great substance, splendid temper and constitution, and inherits tbe blood-like qualities of his ancestors, with first-rate trotting action. The colts got by the grand old * ring- horse are unequalled by the stock of any other horse in the United Kingdom, in proof of wbich one dealer alone, in the County of Norfolk, purchased (for the London market) over one hundred of them, averaging .£IOO each. Terms— Five Guineas, and Five Shillings Groomage. Limited to Forty Mares. A Good Paddock provided for the reception of Mares. Every care taken, but no responsibility. Gra s2s 6d per week. .
