Wellington, Oct. 26, 7.4-2 p.m. Serious floods have occurred at the Hutt — the heaviest known for eleven yeans. Considerable damage has been done to property. At the meeting of the New Zealand Steam Navigation Company, a resolution was passed, asking the Directors to call a special meeting in November to consider a motion in favour of winding up. VNews, via Wanganui, states that Kooti, with a hundred followers, has gone back and entrenched himself where McDonnell attacked him. He has dug up the bodies of those killed and carried them away.
