MAIL NOTICE.
Mails for Sydney per A. H. Badger, (for specially so addressed letters only) will close on Thursday, 28th inst., at 11.30 a.m. Mails for Wellington will close on Friday, 29th inst., at 1.45 p.m. Mails will close at the Chief Post Office, Christchurch, on Saturday, Oct. 30th, for the undermentioned places: — For Northern provinces of New Zealand, the Australian Colonies, United Kingdom, via Suez and Marseilles, the Continents of Europe, Asia, Africa, and America at 9 p.m. For newspapers at 6 p.m. For money orders and registered letters at 5 p.m. Late letters for all the above places can be posted until 8.45 a.m., on Sunday, Otober 31, by attaching an extra sixpenny stamp in addition to the full rate of postage.
